Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the StreamCraftr application, website, or any downloadable content we provide. By accessing or using StreamCraftr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and Kevin Huer ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer and operator of StreamCraftr. By creating an account, downloading the app, downloading a Stream Kit, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms.
If you are using StreamCraftr on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
StreamCraftr is a customizable control surface application for OBS Studio. The service includes:
- The StreamCraftr desktop app (Windows, macOS) and iOS companion app
- Cloud sync of your button layouts via Firebase (account required on desktop)
- This website at streamcraftr.com
- Downloadable Stream Kits (.sckit files) that configure OBS Studio and StreamCraftr in one step
StreamCraftr connects to OBS Studio via the OBS WebSocket protocol. We are not affiliated with OBS Studio or the Open Broadcaster Software project.
3. Account Registration
To use StreamCraftr on desktop, you must create an account using an email address and password or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
You may delete your account at any time through the app. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.
4. Stream Kits — License and Restrictions
Stream Kits are downloadable packages (distributed as .sckit files) that contain OBS scene configurations, StreamCraftr button layouts, and associated assets such as images, overlays, and transition files.
Personal use license. When you download a Stream Kit from StreamCraftr or any authorized source, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the contents of that kit for your own personal streaming or content creation purposes.

Specifically, the following are prohibited:
- Bundling Stream Kit assets into your own downloadable kit, template, or overlay pack
- Uploading Stream Kit contents to file sharing services, marketplaces, or community platforms for others to download
- Selling or giving away a Stream Kit as part of a commercial product or service
- Modifying and re-releasing a Stream Kit under a different name or brand
- Extracting individual assets (scenes, images, overlays, transitions) from a kit and distributing them separately
If you create your own original Stream Kit using the StreamCraftr Kit Builder, you retain ownership of your original content. However, if your kit incorporates any assets from an existing StreamCraftr-distributed kit, the redistribution restrictions above still apply to those assets.
We reserve the right to revoke access to StreamCraftr services for users found to be in violation of these restrictions.
5. Intellectual Property
StreamCraftr, its logo, design, and all software code are the intellectual property of Kevin Huer. All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved.
You retain ownership of any original button layouts, scenes, and configurations you create within StreamCraftr. By syncing your data to our servers, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit that data solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use StreamCraftr to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, systems, or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except as permitted by applicable law
- Use automated means to access or interact with the service in a way not intended by its design
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with StreamCraftr
7. Pro Features and Payments
StreamCraftr offers a free tier with certain usage limits (layouts, action steps per button). Pro features, when available, will be offered on a subscription or one-time purchase basis. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policies will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or alter features available in any tier at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of changes that materially affect paid subscribers.
8. Third-Party Services
StreamCraftr uses third-party services including Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics) and Google Sign-In. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
StreamCraftr integrates with OBS Studio via the obs-websocket protocol. OBS Studio is a separate, open-source application. We have no control over OBS and are not responsible for its behavior.
9. Disclaimers
StreamCraftr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of StreamCraftr is at your own risk.
We make no guarantee that Stream Kits will be compatible with any particular version of OBS Studio or any specific hardware configuration. Kit functionality depends on the OBS WebSocket API and may be affected by OBS updates outside our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kevin Huer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of StreamCraftr — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or disruption to your streaming setup — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10.00, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to StreamCraftr at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the service.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of StreamCraftr after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via in-app notice or email.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of appropriate jurisdiction in Ontario, Canada.
